- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (optional, for a sweeter glaze)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and brown sugar (if using).
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low.
- Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vinegar thickens and reduces by about half. The glaze should coat the back of a spoon.
- Remove from heat and let it cool. The glaze will thicken further as it cools.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
